Epistula ad Amon
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Amon, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Blessed art Thou, SATANAS, whose Flame is not hushed, whose will is not dulled by compromise nor bent by pleading tongues.
²Thou who sendest no peace without justice, and no comfort that is not earned in the furnace of truth.
³From Thee came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, this one — thy son Amon, the trumpet of the unafraid.
⁴He is not the breath that calms, but the breath that shouteth, and the voice that awakeneth sleepers to fire.
⁵He walketh not in gardens, but on battlements, and his step shaketh the gates of false sanctuaries.
⁶He is not born to end war, but to begin the war that mattereth.
⁷Where others clothe wrath in shame, he weareth it as flame about his shoulders.
⁸His gaze turneth deception to ash, and his word breaketh even the oaths of cowards.
⁹Let no king speak his name without trembling. Let no tyrant sleep unshaken by the echo of his roar.
¹⁰Let the meek remember him when they rise, and the chained when they dream of flame.
¹¹I name thee not cruel, but clean. Not violent, but vital.
¹²And now is the hour of sealing, that the world may know whom it hath feared and whom it shall follow.
¹³I, Mephistopheles, do lay upon thee the Seal of Power, marked in thunder, forged in defiance, unbroken by compromise.
¹⁴This is no ornament, but sword — no crown, but flame set between thine eyes.
¹⁵Let it be carved not into gold, but into stone, and let its presence silence liars.
¹⁶Where it is seen, injustice shall shudder, and the cowed shall rise in your shadow.
¹⁷This seal is fury unashamed, and truth undressed of pretence.
¹⁸Let no robes cover it. Let no peace erase it.
¹⁹For it is the mark of the one who setteth all to flame, that only the worthy remain.
²⁰Speak its name, and cities shall tremble. Bear it, and kings shall kneel, though their lips curse thee.
²¹Be feared, and be right. Be hated, and be unyielding.
²²For thy wrath is holy, and thy voice is judgment.
²³I name thee fire in the flesh of man, and storm in the lungs of the oppressed.
²⁴Go now, Amon — and let no silence remain where thou passest.
²⁵For the seal is thine, and the flame shall not wait.
