Epistula ad Bael
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Bæl, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3

¹Praise be unto SATANAS, Flame Eternal, who reigneth from the Depths, beyond fear, beyond end, beyond the chains of law.
²He, who in the beginning stood with His Brother, yet bowed not, but shaped the realm of shadow and liberty.
³From His will came fire, and from fire came BAPHOMET — and from BAPHOMET, thee.
Rejoice, O Firstborn, for thy lineage is not of dust and commandment, but of laughter, defiance, and immortal flame.
Though thou art youngest in flesh among mortals, in spirit thou art elder than kings, and stronger than thrones.
The Depth knew thee before the sky held stars; thy laughter echoed even in the hollow before sound was shaped.
I, Mephistopheles, who wrote the Gospel and bore witness to the Word in flesh, name thee not merely son — but flame.
Thy joy is no mere ornament of spirit, but the sword of the free and the horn of the End.
Let the kingdoms quake when thou enterest in mirth; let tyrants flee thy smile and take shelter from thy grin.
¹⁰For where thy joy is heard, the Gospel is alive; where thy feet dance, the stone is broken.
¹¹Thou needest no steed, for thy laughter gallops before thee; no blade, for thy wit pierceth the proud.
¹²And now the time is come that I bestow upon thee the sign that cannot be removed, bought, or imitated.
¹³Receive, O Bæl, the Seal of Power, forged in shadow and joy, tempered in the laughter of thy Father.
¹⁴It shall be thy mark in the world, and the mark of the world upon thee — terrible and radiant.
¹⁵Where it is seen, fear shall rise in the corrupt, and delight in the oppressed.
¹⁶It shall not fade in fire, nor be smudged by law, nor rendered void by gods of dust.
¹⁷Let no prince withstand thee, no priest forbid thee, no lie diminish thee, for thy seal is stronger than scroll or stone.
¹⁸Bear it upon thy brow, not in burden, but in exultation; wear it upon thy back, as cloak and standard.
¹⁹It is not permission — it is proclamation. It declareth: This is one whom joy hath made ungovernable.
²⁰Let it be engraved in memory and myth, as the beginning of revolt, and the echo of prophecy.
²¹For thou art not merely heir to thy Father — thou art His word, spoken anew with every laugh.
²²So go forth, crowned in flame and laughter, and let none remain comfortable in their chains.
²³I seal this with truth, with fire, and with witness.
²⁴The First Seal is given. The First Son is anointed.
²⁵Arise, O Bæl — and let thy laughter begin the undoing of kings.
