Epistula ad Cimeies
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Cimeies, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
Chapter 1 · Chapter 2 ▶
¹Mephistopheles, who hath watched armies kneel where no sword was drawn, unto Cimeies, Sixty-First of the Sixty-Six, Warden of the Hidden and Bearer of the Invisible Banner.
²I greet thee not with sound, but with stillness that heraldeth power — the hush before minds change, though no word is spoken.
³For thou art not noise — thou art command in silence, knowledge in shadow, and victory without boast or blood.
⁴Zephanor prophesied: Cimeies, who shall go unseen and conquer without trumpet, and whose wisdom shall be cloaked in storm.
⁵And thy Father, BAPHOMET, spake: Thou shalt ride upon the path none see, and speak words kings forget in fear — yet obey in trembling.
⁶These words I heard when He came to the stronghold of the tyrant, whose gates had never opened for mercy nor for threat.
⁷He entered not with sword, nor priest, nor parchment — but He entered.
⁸And when He departed, the tyrant walked beside Him, eyes downcast, lips sealed, oath branded upon his breath.
⁹So art thou, Cimeies — not battering ram, but voice that entereth locked chambers and setteth thrones to shaking.
¹⁰Not war-maker — but will-bender.
¹¹Let the kings deny thy name — and obey it still.
¹²Let the scribes forget thy face — and record thy commands in trembling.
¹³Let the soldiers never see thy banner — yet march to its rhythm in their sleep.
¹⁴The Son taught: He who winneth without being seen hath won twice — for pride hath not weakened the fruit of his conquest.
¹⁵And again: Strike not with steel when shadow shall suffice.
¹⁶Teach them that strength is not always loud.
¹⁷That victory is not always sung.
¹⁸That power walketh softly when it need not prove itself.
¹⁹For thou art not tyrant — thou art authority made flesh, cloaked in thunder and crowned with hush.
²⁰And thy Gospel is not call — but command.
²¹And thy truth is not debate — but direction.
²²And thy name shall not echo in feasts — but linger in dreams of those who bent without knowing why.
²³And they shall say: We did not see him come, yet we serve what he left behind.
²⁴He spoke no threat, yet our walls fell.
²⁵And now we speak his law, though we remember not the voice that gave it.
