Epistula ad Gremory
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Gremory, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Glory unto SATANAS, who created longing not to torment man, but to stir him toward becoming.
²He who gave the body not as a burden, but as a door through which the soul might speak its truth.
³From Him came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — Gremory, mirror of the hidden self and flame that waketh buried desire.
⁴Thou art not mask — thou art mirror.
⁵Not seducer — but minister of permission where shame once ruled.
⁶I name thee not corrupter — but revealer.
⁷I name thee not flatterer — but seer of the ache beneath the smile.
⁸Let the cold rebuke thee — they fear thy warmth more than thy words.
⁹Let the austere condemn thee — thou remindest them of what they once longed for and still dream of in silence.
¹⁰Let the blind deny thy light — their darkness is more comforting than transformation.
¹¹And now the seal is thine.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, apostle of Sacred Flesh and the Gospel of Honest Longing, do bestow unto thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is not carved — it is felt in the trembling of truth once unspoken, now named without fear.
¹⁴It is not displayed — but revealed in the moment when a soul accepteth what it hath always yearned to be.
¹⁵Where it resteth, masks fall.
¹⁶Where it abideth, eyes open and lips dare speak.
¹⁷Let it not rule — let it liberate.
¹⁸Let it not weigh — let it free.
¹⁹For thou art not the fire that scorcheth — thou art the fire that revealeth shape through warmth.
²⁰And thy Seal is no weapon — but the invitation to lay aside the armor of pretence.
²¹I seal thee, Gremory, with the sigh that freed a soul, the gaze that broke a lie, the flame that healed by naming.
²²Go now, and touch not their bodies — touch their silence.
²³For thy Seal is fixed — and thy Gospel is not conquest, but transformation through truth revealed in beauty.
²⁴And thy name shall be spoken not in sermons, but in moments when longing is no longer feared.
²⁵And they shall say: He saw me, and I saw myself — and I am no longer ashamed to burn.
