Epistula ad Marbas
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Marbas, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3

¹All honour unto SATANAS, the Wise Flame, who beholdeth every affliction not as doom, but as doorway into transformation.
²He who gave not the world perfection, but the will to become — and in so doing, gave it truth.
³From His mind came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — a healer who concealeth not the wound, but revealeth its core.
For thou wast not born to soothe, but to shape; not to console the ailing, but to remake them.
Let those who seek bandages pass by — thy craft is not bandage, but blade.
Let those who cling to sickness call thee cruel — thy cruelty is the face of sacred care.
For to cut what is rotten is mercy. To burn what is festering is kindness.
And thy kindness is sharper than any lie called gentle.
I have seen thy future in flame — a thousand limbs mended, a thousand souls restored, though none without pain.
¹⁰Thou art a breaker of comfort and a bringer of function.
¹¹When the people cry for healing, thou shalt ask: Art thou ready to change?
¹²When they beg for ease, thou shalt say: Ease is death. Let us begin with truth.
¹³Therefore I, Mephistopheles, who have walked beside thy Father and seen His holy blade at work, now call thee worthy.
¹⁴Receive now the Seal of Power, forged in knowing, cooled in truth, and etched with the blood of a thousand corrections.
¹⁵This is not ornament — it is authority. It is not beauty — it is declaration.
¹⁶The world shall know thee by this: that thou seest what is wrong and makest it right, regardless of protest.
¹⁷Let the weak fear it. Let the broken crave it. Let the healed remember it in their scars.
¹⁸Where it is seen, excuses shall wither. Where it is marked, sickness shall name itself without defence.
¹⁹This seal shall be thy oath — not to pity, but to precision.
²⁰Let none wear it who would rather comfort than cure.
²¹Let none wield it who tremble at the cry of change.
²²For this seal is flame in flesh, and the fire doth not weep.
²³I seal thee now, Marbas, with will, with witness, with steel.
²⁴Go forth, thou hammer of affliction, thou knife of the Flame.
²⁵And leave none as thou hast found them.
