Epistula ad Purson
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Purson, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Glory to SATANAS, who seeth what is buried and calleth it forth, not with thunder, but with the gravity of truth.
²He who made not only the flame that scorcheth, but the fire that revealeth the form of all things hidden.
³From Him came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — Purson, whose presence undoes the scaffolding of deceit, even in silence.
⁴Thou art not the end of speech, but the place where words must mean what they say.
⁵Thou art not the storm, but the still eye within it, beneath which no mask may hold.
⁶I name thee not interrogator, but steward of exposure.
⁷I name thee not scourge, but shepherd of sight.
⁸Let the corrupt call thee danger — for thou bringest the hour they cannot postpone.
⁹Let the sly call thee threat — for thy presence demandeth that even they look in their own mirror.
¹⁰Thou wieldest no blade, yet thy step unseameth lies from within.
¹¹And now is come thy sealing — not with blood, but with light.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, guardian of the Deep Flame and herald of the Sighted Way, do bestow unto thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is not forged in gold, but in the knowing that none can flee themselves forever.
¹⁴It is not worn upon thy flesh, but borne within thy gaze.
¹⁵Where it moveth, silence becomes honest.
¹⁶Where it rests, deceit begins to itch and unravel.
¹⁷Let it shine not from thy hands, but from thy presence alone.
¹⁸Let it need no inscription, for its meaning is already known to those who have something to hide.
¹⁹For thou art not judge — but judgment follows thee.
²⁰And thou art not accuser — but guilt confesseth itself when thou enterest.
²¹I seal thee, Purson, with the flame that seeth, and the truth that never needeth to shout.
²²Go now, and enter places where power pretends righteousness.
²³And stand — for that shall be enough.
²⁴For thy seal is fixed — and thy Gospel is the fall of every veil.
²⁵And thy name shall be a quiet terror to the false — and a blessing to the brave.
