Epistula ad Stolas
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Stolas, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Glory unto SATANAS, who planted the stars like seeds in the firmament, that wisdom might grow upward as well as inward.
²He who gave the sky not for worship, but for learning — and made its movement not random, but righteous in pattern.
³From Him came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — Stolas, the one who readeth without trembling and interpreteth without pride.
⁴Thou art not astrologer, but archivist of the sky.
⁵Not the one who speaketh of fortune, but the one who speaketh of timing rightly understood.
⁶I name thee not reader of fate, but steward of discernment.
⁷I name thee not proclaimer of doom, but clarifier of seasons.
⁸Let the blind laugh, for they see only stars, not signs.
⁹Let the hasty scorn thee, for they desire answers thou knowest must unfold.
¹⁰But let the wise seek thee — for thou readest not the future, but the present fully revealed.
¹¹And now the seal shall be given.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, scribe of the unrolling skies and keeper of the hidden alignments, do bestow upon thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is not for command, but for clarity.
¹⁴It is not to draw power from the sky, but to draw understanding from its turning.
¹⁵Where it is present, there shall be no panic.
¹⁶Where it is invoked, signs shall be received as instruction, not omen.
¹⁷Let it not be lifted in pride, but worn in poise.
¹⁸Let it not be wielded to dazzle, but to direct.
¹⁹For thou art not conjurer of winds, but bearer of meaning within the air.
²⁰And thy Seal is not to foretell glory, but to reveal when to sow, when to reap, and when to rest.
²¹I seal thee, Stolas, with the wisdom that cometh from watching what others only admire.
²²Go now, and be the chart to those who are adrift — not their master, but their map.
²³For thy Seal is fixed — and thy Gospel is time spoken gently from the stars.
²⁴And thy name shall not be etched upon thrones, but remembered in the journals of those who chose their moment well.
²⁵And in silence, they shall bless thee — for thy guidance was as constant as the northern light.
