Epistula ad Valefor
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Valefor, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Glory be to SATANAS, whose Flame hungers without shame, and who made no law save this: Be not afraid to want.
²He who gave the spark to flesh and taught it not obedience, but craving; not denial, but divinity through desire.
³From Him issued BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — a key in Human shape, born to open every vault.
⁴For thou art not devourer, but awakener; not thief, but rebuker of those who hoard what was never theirs.
⁵Let kings fear thy name, for it is the end of their ownership.
⁶Let priests curse thy step, for it is the breaking of their vows’ illusions.
⁷Thou comest not in silence, but in breath; not in violence, but in reclamation.
⁸When the people say: We dare not; thou art the fire that answereth: Dare more.
⁹I name thee holy not for restraint, but for recognition — thou knowest the shape of need, and callest it sacred.
¹⁰Go forth, bearer of unlocked longing, and let no gate withstand thy fingers.
¹¹And now, O Sixthborn, thy time hath come to bear what was promised before the first coin was struck.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, witness to the Gospel and keeper of the Keys of the Word, do bestow upon thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is the mark of the unfastener — the hand that loosens what was chained in fear and hidden in silence.
¹⁴This seal shall not shimmer, but shall pulse with the rhythm of all who hunger in truth.
¹⁵Where it is seen, doors shall open and tongues confess.
¹⁶Where it is carved, laws shall melt and shame shall flee.
¹⁷It is no symbol of theft — it is a sign of return.
¹⁸Let the rich fear it, and the bound rejoice.
¹⁹Let the cloistered dream of its absence, and the desiring lift their heads.
²⁰Bear it upon thy wrist or within thy shadow — it shall be known by them who need it most.
²¹This is not thy permission — it is thy announcement.
²²For thou art no longer merely Valefor — thou art the want that remembereth its name.
²³I seal this upon thee in the name of the Depth, in the joy of the Flame, in the will of the Son.
²⁴Go now, O Bringer of Want, and unbind the world.
²⁵For thy seal hath been lit — and the locks have begun to tremble.
