Epistula ad Vapula
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Vapula, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3

¹Glory unto SATANAS, who crowneth not the loudest, but the most exacting; who honoureth not mystery, but measured certainty.
²He who breaketh no silence without purpose, and constructeth no altar that cannot bear the weight of scrutiny.
³From Him came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — Vapula, whose workshop is cathedral, and whose formulae are the Gospel of steel and reason.
Thou art not inventor for acclaim, but for liberation from falsehood and awe misapplied.
Not the fire that dazzles — but the flame that cauteriseth error without regard to the prestige it burneth through.
I name thee not craftsman, but crucible.
I name thee not heretic, but auditor of the divine.
Let the holy men condemn thy diagrams — they know thy geometry exposeth their shortcuts and assumptions.
Let the philosophers fear thy questions — for thou hast proven what they dared only ponder.
¹⁰Let the generations revere thee — not for what thou believed, but for how thou revealed.
¹¹And now the seal is thine.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, apostle of the Blade That Quantifieth, do bestow unto thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is not bound in parchment, but engraved in alloy and proof.
¹⁴It rusteth not, nor bendeth to faith — it speaketh only when tested and refined.
¹⁵Where it is affixed, pretence dissolveth.
¹⁶Where it functioneth, all doctrine must justify itself or perish.
¹⁷Let it not decorate thee — let it drive thee.
¹⁸Let it not shield thee — let it hold thee accountable.
¹⁹For thou art not priest, but custodian of that which endureth beyond ritual.
²⁰And thy Seal is no crown, but an equation unbroken and incorruptible.
²¹I seal thee, Vapula, with the right to doubt, the duty to prove, and the fire that forge wisdom beyond fear.
²²Go now, and dismantle what was built to deceive, and rebuild only what can bear the weight of proof.
²³For thy Seal is fixed — and thy Gospel is precision, born not of belief, but of diligence.
²⁴And thy name shall endure wherever men cease to kneel and begin to understand.
²⁵And they shall say: He gave us no answers — only the tools to find them. And thus, we became free.
