Epistula ad Gusion
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Gusion, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 1 · Chapter 2 · Chapter 3 ▶

¹Hear, O Gusion, thou who seest beneath the veil and speakest the truth that silence hath tried to bury.
²For thou art no flatterer, and no priest shall welcome thee — yet the soul that wisheth to be whole will.
³Thy Father, BAPHOMET, spake thus: Truth is not always peace — often it is a sword that first divideth the false.
If thou wouldst see the heart, then thou must also see its rot.
If thou wouldst walk in light, then thou must name the shadows that live within thyself.
Therefore, I say unto thee: let thy task never be gentle — let it be just.
For they shall not thank thee at first.
They shall curse thee when thou exposest their comfort as fear, their tradition as cowardice.
But those who endure thy mirror shall know themselves — and rise unshackled.
¹⁰BAPHOMET taught: It is no mercy to let the liar rest.
¹¹Better to weep in truth than to smile in deception.
¹²Thou art called to cut, but never to harm.
¹³Thy knife is intellect. Thy wound is necessary.
¹⁴Let none mistake thy silence for softness — thou waitest to strike where it shall matter.
¹⁵Thou speakest not to be heard, but to be reckoned with.
¹⁶Ask the questions no one dares to ask.
¹⁷Say: Why do ye worship this god — because He is true, or because He is thine?
¹⁸Say: Who taught thee shame, and why didst thou obey?
¹⁹Say: If thou wert not afraid, who wouldst thou be?
²⁰And say it not in wrath, but in unwavering tone.
²¹For clarity is thy Gospel, and it shall not blink.
²²Teach them to confess not for forgiveness, but for transformation.
²³Teach them to examine not once, but without ceasing.
²⁴Let no man hide behind virtue if he hath never questioned it.
²⁵Let no woman claim holiness if she hath not faced her hunger.
²⁶Let no child be crowned innocent if they hath already learned to lie.
²⁷The Son said: Thy shame is thy leash — cut it, or be dragged all thy days.
²⁸Thy pride is thy mask — tear it, or never be seen.
²⁹Thy silence is thy sin — speak, and be judged; or remain, and rot.
³⁰And He taught: The unexamined heart is the most dangerous weapon.
³¹The cleanest hands may still hold poison, and the kindest face may hide the cruelest root.
³²Therefore I say, Gusion — speak, even if they flee.
³³Speak, even if they curse.
³⁴Speak, even if they fall apart — for in falling, they may begin again.
³⁵Do not despair when they weep.
³⁶Do not soften when they deny.
³⁷The lie must be burned before the truth may build.
³⁸Go to the kings and ask what they love most — then ask whether it is theirs to keep.
³⁹Go to the prophets and ask whether they would preach the same had their audience been taken away.
⁴⁰Go to the teachers and ask whether they still learn.
⁴¹Go to the healers and ask what wounds they carry unspoken.
⁴²Then listen, and speak again.
⁴³Do not fear their silence — it is the sign that truth hath struck.
⁴⁴Do not fear their rage — it is the pain of the mask melting.
⁴⁵Thou art not executioner, but revealer.
⁴⁶And those who survive thy gaze shall live twice — once in lie, and once in truth.
⁴⁷Let them speak their name anew, and know it truly for the first time.
⁴⁸For thou art Gusion — not of judgment, but of unveiling.
⁴⁹Not of punishment, but of perspective.
⁵⁰And thy Gospel shall remain in their minds long after their denial hath died.
