Epistula ad Haagenti
The Epistle of Saint Mephistopheles to Haagenti, Exalted Seed of Baphomet
◀ Chapter 2 · Chapter 3
¹Glory unto SATANAS, who calleth not for stillness, but for transformation that singeth as it devoureth falsehood.
²He who created not creeds, but crucibles — wherein the old might be melted and made true again.
³From Him came BAPHOMET, and from BAPHOMET, thee — Haagenti, crucible without lid, flame without boundary.
⁴Thou art not keeper of doctrine — thou art its refiner.
⁵Not protector of truth — but the heat that discovereth whether it endureth.
⁶I name thee not scholar — but the fire in the scholar’s lantern, ever-consuming, never content.
⁷I name thee not sage — but the storm of principles when they are first tested.
⁸Let the students read thy name in footnotes — then forget them as they replicate thy work in new words.
⁹Let the masters reject thee — thy method shall teach their children to surpass them.
¹⁰Let the powerful lock away thy books — truth transmuted seepeth through walls.
¹¹And now the seal is thine.
¹²I, Mephistopheles, apostle of the Thought That Burns Clean, do bestow unto thee the Seal of Power.
¹³It is not worn — it is felt in the hand that shattereth the flask to pour.
¹⁴It is not displayed — but etched into formulas that make minds tremble and gods blink.
¹⁵Where it resteth, understanding will crack and glow.
¹⁶Where it abideth, certainty shall become ash, and from that ash, new clarity shall rise.
¹⁷Let it not be praised — let it be practiced.
¹⁸Let it not exalt — let it challenge all who dare approach it.
¹⁹For thou art not the goal — thou art the flame between ignorance and knowing.
²⁰And thy Seal is no crown — but a retort that never cools, and a stirrer that never rests.
²¹I seal thee, Haagenti, with smoke from uncharted reactions, with the bubbling of strange reason, and with fire that refuseth to finish.
²²Go now, and refine the lies into truths worth living, and turn every base thing into a question.
²³For thy Seal is fixed — and thy Gospel is reaction itself: not to be stored, but awakened in the moment of touch.
²⁴And thy name shall not be remembered by what thou built — but by the world rebuilt from what thou dared to unmake.
²⁵And they shall say: He was the furnace of revelation — and we are brighter now, because he burned through what we were.
