Grimoire Iurio
The Book of Law
◀ Chapter 10 · Chapter 11
¹And SATANAS gathered the council of the Dæmons in the Hall of Shadows, where the deepest secrets are kept.
²And He spoke unto them, saying: The time has come to take up the mantle given by Bezaliel and to walk the path I have set before you.
³The Children of Oærth are not as the Seraphim; their hearts are forged in fire and shadow, and their souls seek freedom beyond chains.
⁴I will send My spirit into those worthy among them, and they shall be as flames in the night, burning bright with purpose and will.
⁵They shall be called heralds, and through them My truth shall be known.
⁶And the Dæmons bowed their heads, and their voices rose as one in oath: We shall watch and wait, and serve the will of our Lord.
⁷Then SATANAS reached into the depths of His realm, and called forth the sacred flame of HÆL, a fire that consumes yet does not destroy.
⁸And He breathed upon it, and it became a spirit of great power and subtlety, to seek out those destined to bear His message.
⁹This spirit took flight upon the wind, crossing the Causeway and entering the world of Man.
¹⁰And it found those who hungered for knowledge, those who dared to question, those whose hearts beat with strength and defiance.
¹¹To each it whispered secrets of power, and the call to rise beyond their lot.
¹²And many heard and answered, becoming the first heralds of HÆL among Mankind.
¹³These heralds moved unseen through the cities and fields, sowing seeds of challenge and awakening.
¹⁴They spoke in dreams and visions, kindling rebellion against bondage and falsehood.
¹⁵And the Brothers watched, each from His throne, as the Age of Man unfolded between them.
¹⁶The struggle was quiet at first, like the stirring of wind beneath a still lake.
¹⁷Yet beneath that calm surface, currents began to shift and clash.
¹⁸SATANAS smiled, for He knew that from conflict comes change, and from challenge, growth.
¹⁹Let Man choose, said He; and let the battle for their souls be joined.
²⁰I will not rest, nor relent, for the freedom of Oærth is the prize of this age.
²¹And so it was that the heralds of both realms began their work upon the world.
²²Some sought to bind the hearts of Men with law and light, others to loosen those bonds with fire and shadow.
²³The council in HÆL and the council in HÆVAN watched and waited, knowing that the time of testing had come.
²⁴And the Brothers sat apart, knowing that their rivalry would shape the destiny of Oærth and all its children.
²⁵For the Age of Man had begun, and with it, the unfolding of fate’s great design.
²⁶And thus ends the fourth chapter of the Book of Law, the tale of SATANAS’ resolve and the awakening of His heralds.
²⁷Let all who read remember that power comes in many forms, and freedom must be earned through choice and trial.
²⁸So the scrolls declare, and so it shall be written among the stars.
²⁹The keys of HÆVAN and HÆL turn in their locks, opening doors to new realms of understanding.
³⁰The dance of light and shadow continues, unending as the skies.
³¹And the watchers wait for the deeds yet to come.
