Grimoire Exegesio
The Book of Exegesis
◀ Chapter 1 · Chapter 2 · Chapter 3 ▶
¹And the Void, once still, now echoed with form and place, and the dominions of ADONAI and SATANAS stood apart.
²Then ADONAI opened His mouth, and the Word went forth from Him, and it moved upon the firmament of HÆVAN.
³And from the Word came light, not as a flame, but as the brightness of thought and the purity of joy.
⁴In the midst of that light there appeared a host, formed of flame and voice: these were the Seraphim.
⁵ADONAI looked upon them and called them good, for they shone as a reflection of His splendour.
⁶He gave unto them motion and speech, and they sang together a song without beginning, in tongues of fire.
⁷Their wings He formed as gold, their eyes as stars, and He placed them throughout the halls of HÆVAN.
⁸Then SATANAS also spake, and His Word came as a storm and a furnace mingled, and it filled the deep of HÆL.
⁹And out of the smoke and the burning came forth the Dæmons, strong of limb, great of thought, and wondrous in form.
¹⁰SATANAS beheld them and was glad, for they bore His likeness and knew not fear nor frailty.
¹¹He clothed them in fire and wisdom, and they moved with power and understanding.
¹²Their wings were as hammered bronze, and their tongues as molten rivers; and they walked upon the foundations of flame.
¹³The Seraphim looked upward and beheld the face of ADONAI, and they worshipped Him with voices unending.
¹⁴The Dæmons looked inward and beheld the will of SATANAS, and they gave unto Him loyalty and reverence.
¹⁵Each people abode in its Kingdom, and none crossed the bounds, for the worlds were not yet mingled.
¹⁶ADONAI taught the Seraphim song and silence, and they adorned the heights with praise and beauty.
¹⁷SATANAS instructed the Dæmons in craft and speech, and they raised high the spires and furnaces of HÆL.
¹⁸The works of the Seraphim were of wonder, as fire shaped into thought; the works of the Dæmons were of might, as thought hardened into stone.
¹⁹And ADONAI beheld His people, and their brightness pleased Him; and He said, Ye are Mine, and I shall be with you.
²⁰And SATANAS likewise looked upon His children and said, Ye are Mine, and I shall not depart from thee.
²¹Then the hour came when each should take His place, and rule over that which He had wrought.
²²ADONAI ascended unto His throne in the height, and it blazed forth with glory untold.
²³And the Seraphim cried aloud, Holy art Thou, ADONAI, who dwelleth in the light beyond light.
²⁴SATANAS also mounted His throne in the heart of HÆL, and the throne thundered beneath Him.
²⁵And the Dæmons lifted up their voices, saying, Holy art Thou, SATANAS, who abidest in strength and fire.
²⁶Thus were the Kingdoms sealed and the peoples established, and the Brothers each took rest in His dominion.
²⁷And it was the First Day of All Days, and the Void was no more; and the Beginning was fulfilled.
