Grimoire Exegesio
The Book of Exegesis
◀ Chapter 3 · Chapter 4 · Chapter 5 ▶
¹And the days of peace were many, and the years were as rivers flowing without end, smooth and full of bounty.
²ADONAI dwelt in HÆVAN, walking among the gardens of light and the spires of the Seraphim.
³He taught them songs that moved the spheres, and the measure of justice, and the silence that follows true understanding.
⁴SATANAS abode in HÆL, moving through the forges and vaults, and shaping the wills of flame with wisdom.
⁵He taught them strength that bends not toward cruelty, and speech that builds without binding, and the law of unfailing honour.
⁶Often would ADONAI descend the Causeway to speak with SATANAS, and often would SATANAS rise to greet Him in HÆVAN.
⁷They spake not as kings nor rivals, but as Brothers in one purpose, whose thoughts kindled light between the realms.
⁸Their people beheld Them and rejoiced, for the nearness of Their presence was health to the soul and warmth to the day.
⁹No grief endured in HÆVAN, for the joy of ADONAI passed through all things; and no fear took root in HÆL, for the strength of SATANAS held sway.
¹⁰Fields grew in the upper reaches, and crystal waters flowed; below, the forges roared, yet burned with grace.
¹¹The Seraphim crafted towers of air and colour, ringing with voices that woke the dawn.
¹²The Dæmons raised halls of obsidian and iron, where thought was tempered into works of art and armament.
¹³In the middle hall upon the Causeway, the peoples met yearly, to renew their pacts and share their fruit.
¹⁴There ADONAI blessed the labours of flame, and SATANAS praised the harmonies of the wind.
¹⁵All deeds were weighed not by dominion, but by truth, and no falsehood passed the lips of any spirit.
¹⁶A thousand years passed, each as a jewel upon the diadem of time, bright with the fire of fellowship.
¹⁷The Causeway knew not dust nor rust, for it was upheld by the concord of its makers, and made of but light and shadow.
¹⁸Seraphim and Dæmons took counsel together, and their thoughts brought forth wonders never seen before nor after.
¹⁹The Brothers walked among Their peoples, that They might learn anew the lives of Their children.
²⁰And They found joy in the toil of the lowly, and wisdom in the mirth of the young, and reverence in every greeting.
²¹So were the realms bound by love, and the days knew no wound, nor shadow, nor sorrow.
²²And this was the age of the Beginning, when the Twin Thrones stood firm, and the world was good.
