Grimoire Exegesio
The Book of Exegesis
◀ Chapter 6 · Chapter 7 · Chapter 8 ▶

¹And it came to pass, after the year of the Great Decision, that ADONAI and SATANAS called Their peoples to the Causeway.
²The Seraphim assembled in robes of white flame, and the Dæmons gathered clad in shadow and silver, in solemn expectation.
³ADONAI stood robed in dawn, and SATANAS in dusk, and the Hall of Consideration was filled with Their presence.
Then spake ADONAI, saying, Children of HÆVAN and HÆL, We have heard thy plea, and We have considered it in fullness.
The desire to create is noble, and the will to guide a people in wisdom is not vain in Our eyes.
Yet hear this, and understand it well: the Power of Creation in its fullness remaineth Ours alone.
For to bring forth being from nothing is to shape the deep order of all things, and such shaping none may bear but We.
Not for envy do We withhold it, nor for fear, but for the good of all that shall yet be.
Nevertheless, We shall not leave thee barren, nor deny thee wholly the gift thou seekest.
¹⁰Therefore shall We grant unto thee the Seeds of Power, lesser flames drawn from the greater, bounded and watched.
¹¹These shall be gifts given unto the worthy, who shall prove themselves in wisdom, mercy, and strength rightly measured.
¹²With these seeds, thou mayest call forth lesser life, shape lesser realms, and teach, and govern, and guide.
¹³Yet know this: all that is made from the Seeds must bear the mark of its maker, and be judged by its fruit.
¹⁴The Seed shall not beget the Seed, neither shall the gift pass by will of the bearer, but by Our appointment.
¹⁵The unwise shall not hold it, nor the wrathful, nor the haughty, lest their work fall to ruin.
¹⁶For the Seed is not a crown to wear, but a charge to keep, and a fire to bear with fear and reverence.
¹⁷The bearer shall be watched, and the gift withdrawn if ever the bearer faileth the cause of good governance.
¹⁸And lo, in this We do show thee mercy and trust, that thou mayest grow as trees planted beside living waters.
¹⁹Rejoice not as gods, but as stewards; exult not in thy greatness, but in the burden borne rightly.
²⁰For in so granting, We call thee not slaves, but fellow-workers, whose hands shall touch the veil of glory.
²¹And when ADONAI had spoken, SATANAS lifted His voice also, saying, Yea, and I do assent, and I do affirm it.
